Many people like use different material to make handbag. Like canvas, polyester, nylon, PVC, fake leather and more kinds. We will make some notes for some material specialty as below for your reference.
Canvas: Usually, canvas was made of cotton, so that will Shrink a little if didn’t do special processing, so that will make your bag smaller and shorter after wash or used a longer time. So, how to settle this trouble is very important for handbag manufacturer and clients. Normally, we need ask canvas supplier to do pre-shrink to decrease the shrink percent. And before we produce canvas bags, we need make some samples to test to know the result, like machine washing, hand washing etc…Also need stitch a washing label to remind customer to know how to wash. Special if the bags have printing can’t do machine washing.
Polyester: because of polyester material is cheap, that is always used on promotional bags, like cosmetic bags, business bags, even diaper bags. But need remind here is: better use PVC backing or PU backing for bags, if use sponge PVC backing, the bag manufacturer must ask material supplier to make good, new sponge backing, otherwise, the bag surface is very easy to appear color folding mark, make whole order are failed.
Semi-pu fake leather: We offered many cosmetic bags, wash bags, make up bags in fake leather for customer. And some bags must request soft hand feeling, but client will not use real PU leather because of they are expensive. They ask use semi PU leather. Semi PU leather is easy broken of surface, special the elephant grain, just the finger is also easy to make them broken. So, better, use thicker PVC fake leather are good choice or fill foam inside bag, or use some cheap PU.
Neoprene: Many laptop Sleeve and Iphone case usually use neoprene material and even some need full printing for whole bag outer. Because the neoprene is soft and spandex, made the printing words is not clear and bad effect, when do this kind order, must request handbag manufacturer to search professional silk printing factory to do.
